I really can't say I'm fan of Garmin software. What a hassle it's been just to put a few test maps on my new GPS unit. First I have to find my North American City Navigator disk, which I may add it's a totally legal copy. Then I load it on my VM running Windows, and launch it. It brings me to a wizard to unlock the maps. So, I follow the wizard, since I have registered this code in the past. It's tells there is a newer version then I am currently using. I really don't feel like messing with the download, but can't go any further. So I do the update. Then I try to register my code, yet again I have to download something else. The hell with this registration crap. There are open source or third party methods for getting maps on my GPS. Check this out:

Hey Garmin, your software products are too expenisve anyway. All you are bascialy doing is prepackaging free government data.
